Neville "over the hill" - celebrates 50th birthday ! Friday April 16th, 2010

Well said - what a great time! Wish I could party like that every weekend. Superb coordination by Ramona every detail was thought of but now I am left scared for life knowing that most of my Goan Association compadres are cross dressers and have another side to them :)

Ramona/Neville thank you for everything and Neville Happy 50th!! Here's to another 50 more.

Regards,

Agnelo & Arti

Goooooood Morning Floridia Scof & friends. Have you got-over the lag from PicnicShinic??

Let us all THANK PreetiSatinder and team for their efforts & wonderful time we all had yesterday at PicnicShinic.

It was nice to see that all were energetic, participated & enjoyed each moment of it - be it Tug of War/ Cricket/Volleybal/ChildernGames/ GETTING BALL OFF THE TREE/ Housie/ Aantakashri/ Khokho/ Cooking-eating and not the least wrapping-up the PicnicShinc & cleaning the surroundings.

FOOD WAS GREAT -

CHOICEST OF THE CHOICE MOUTH-WATERING FOOD - ONE DOES NOT EVEN FIND IN ANY INDIAN RESTRURANT.

TANDOOR WAS MARVELLOUS - THANKS VINOD & JOLLY. NOW THAT WE HAVE NON-VEG TANDOOR THERE ARE REQUESTS FOR VEG TANDOOR

Thank you all.

To the ORGANIZERS of the Jan 6th Picnic,

A hearty congratulations to all of you organizers (you know if you are one!) with a million thanks for a picnic very efficiently and well organized. I realize the amount of attention and detail that goes into making these events run smoothly.

The food was good, the games were good and the location was good. Couple that with the good crowd who attended, and the result was simply excellent.

Keep up the good work, and God bless,

joe, margaret and gita lobo+

Hello Fellow Members:

Beautiful weather, good friends coming together again - some old, some new, excellent food, children & elders playing games together, some music, great gifts/prizes, some lost balloons - maybe a lost ball or two, LBW - How's That! NOT OUT SIR! some K-osse, some strange drinks, a pot that they call a Tandoor, some money won, some parking tickets, some ankles sore - group singing, bingo, a rope war, competitions a plenty = should be a shipnic - right!
That was GREAT! a fun, fun, fun and tasty affair. ummm finger licking good - Oh the memories of the flames and aroma of BBQ cooking and everybody having fun - like some members said - WHEN ARE WE DOING IT AGAIN ?

We thank everybody who came, everybody who contributed and of course the organizing committee for making it all happens.

SCOF

To All SCOF Members

You all know as to why this PICNIC was a Great Success because----- We ALL had ONE GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (To make it a Success!!!!)

ONE TEAM--- ONE GOAL (always A Success with teamwork !!!)

1- Thanks a lot for making the First Picnic A SUCCESS!! Without the support of you all this wasn’t possible.

2-  The Food was finger licking and in ample quantity. Thanks to all who made Fantastic Biryani, Tandoori Murg, Salad, Appetizers, Fruit salad and last but not the least GAJAR KA HALWA (all trays were empty in just 25 minutes!!). Bhel Puri was better than original (the bhaiya came late but did the job- Thanks Manohar)

3- TANDOOR- was a great success and will be used more often when Vinod owns an Indian Restaurant in Boca Raton—Just joking!!!

4-  Idea of Chocolate Fountain was fantastic – thanks to Lobo family.

5- All kids who participated in various games/singing/Bingo/competition are worth a praise. They all did a good job.

6- A special Thanks to the main organizer (Deepali Thapar) even though she couldn’t attend due some commitment as she did a marvelous job!

7- Sincere thanks to all committee members (Praatima Yadav, Hala Jafri, Preeti Baveja) who did spend a lot of time and effort and made it worth such a praise.

8- We all thanks to all who participated in the clean up as the place was left in much better condition then we took it!!! Unbelievable as it was done without any “Jharoo/Phatka”!!!

9-  The Chefs were just wonderful i.e. Jotinder Rana, Vinod Gulati, Kersi, Jolly, Hala and others as I may have missed some.

10-Special thanks to all guests as without them the numbers wouldn’t have been so MUCH as we were now (Over 120!!!)

11-Some members couldn’t attend but even then made sure that their pot luck items were delivered- Narinder Wadhwa, PK sang and Neeraj Thapar  (Thanks!!)

12- Last but not the least- please enjoy the wonderful pictures and some clips.

 THANKS

Satinder Baveja

 TO ALL

I missed two important points and apologies for same:-

1- It was a great idea of HALA to make name tags for all and it made very easy to recognize and address all properly with actual names rather than asking "Humm----Aap ka Naam kya hai etc??".

2- Thanks also to Swapan Biswas and sameera for sending their Pot Luck item (the yamee Chicken tangrees for BBQ) with Nishi Katyal as they couldn't attend. We missed them all.

Appologies if I missed something again!!!!

NOW LET US GET READY FOR NEXT ONE.....

Satinder Baveja

After reading the reviews of the picnic- We are feeling bad that we missed it. Cheers to all the organizers and attendees.

Regards

Pavan
